Xbox 360 or Helicopter?

Hi Chaps

I have had a new style 250GB xbox 360 for under a year and just recently it has become incredibly noisy. I purchased this to replace an old style and one of the reasons i decided to replace was because the new style is allot quieter.

Is this a common issue with these units, mine sounds like its about to take off and can be quite distracting. Can i get this replaced by Microsoft?. Any Advice of guidance would be appreciated.

you tried blowing it out with compressed air? might be clogged with dust

What is noisier? The fans? The disc drive?

I believe its the fan however whilst having a bash on fifa later ill have a proper listen and report back. Its defiantly not normal i know that much

Its coming from the actual Xbox itself

Have you installed the games you're playing. It might be the disc tray making the sound. If you install the games it makes it a lot quieter.
