Xbox 360 & Pc Router

Hi there

I'm a bit of noob here but I have been told I need a router so I can connect my Xbox 360 and my PC at the same time. At the moment I have to unplug one to connect the other as I have one socket in the cable modem. I am with Virgin Media and do not have wireless.

What wired router do I need? Is this ok 'Linksys EtherFast Cable/DSL Router with 4-Port Switch' £35?

You could alway connect the xbox to the pc and then share the internet connection

Have you tried calling VM and asking them nicely for a router?
They never gave me one initially but when I requested one they sent if FoC.

+1 since thats what i do, using laptop and it works a treat

How exactly do I do that? I only have one ethernet socket on the MB which is being used by the Cable Modem.

You would need two.

I thought so, would have thought my mother board would have had two ethernet connections. I'm sure every other MB I have had the last few years had more than one.
