Hey guys,

How long should it take to charge a half full battery to full?

I've had my battery on charge for 3 hours now and it's STILL got the red light not the green light :(

Shouldn't take that long.

I found the play and charge kits to be AWFUL. I generally look after my equipment very well, but these are so fragile. I've had two / three break...

I now usee the cradle which charges up too two at a time using AC, and keep a spare battery so I can swap it on the fly.

Much better.

I just have mine plugged into my docking station and it charges when the laptop isnom dock. Charges in less than 2 hours I'm sure.

The other halfs one is knackered, pad hardly
keeps it's charge.

Play and charge kits are rubbish, get one of the quick charge kits.

How so? I've had my play and charge kit since release, never had a problem with it and it works exactly as it should.

I tend to just top my battery up whenever I walk away from the 360/PC, I can't think of a time when my battery has actually run out on me.

Well my official p&c kit killed my battery, it charged it and never cut off.

Same here. Had mine 3/4 year. Still
works great.

Can you use the pad when your battery is dead with the quick charge
kits?

Can you use usual rechargable AA's with the 360 at all? Was just wondering with the voltage difference (3v vs 2.4v).

Yeh, you can take the battery out and use the cable and it works!

My brothers P&C doesn't charge the battery very well (or the battery is broken) as the controller turns off after ten seconds of being unplugged even after days of charge.

I purchased a BRAND NEW official Xbox play and charge kit a couple of weeks ago and it hardly keeps charge for longer than 2 hours. I guess it's faulty?

I'm back on rechargable batteries now which last much longer. I can't be arsed having to plug the lead in all the time.

Mine did the same, although I did get circa 2 yrs usage out of it. Not used rechargeable batteries for donkey's years so no idea if this is a decent lifecycle?

I am now charging battery 2.

At first, it was 2 bars. Now after 90 minutes its on 3.

Both these batteries are brand new! Whats wrong here, my play and charge cable?

Could be the cable. Tbh i agree with the above posts. The kits are terribly fragile, i had mine for about 6 months and the cable decided not to detect the charge in the battery and always went "green", meaning it never charged them.

Cracked open the battery pack, whipped out the rechargeables inside and just used them. Haven't needed to charge them up since.
