...Ok I bought this system for my son about a year ago, its the one with the football front panel after Euro 06, and he has hardly used it. Bought a hdd for it about 6 months ago. So we go down to the Isle of Wight a week ago and I thought I'd take it with us because the forecast was crap. Lo and behold it *****d it down all week so my son gets on his game and it promptly breaks.

Now the problem is I cannot remember where I bought it from (maybe it was somewhere that I can't mention because I've ran out of AK ammo) but I certaily don't have the reciept. So what do I do?

Can I get it fixed/replaced and if so how, and whom do I call?

Did you pay thro a credit/bank card? You would be able to get the receipt then if you know when you bought it.

If its the three red lights phone Microsoft they will replace it free of charge

We should have a "my xbox is broke" stickie!
 
I second that. And further still you get extra security on buying via Credit card because you get an extra year's guaruntee with some.

I don't know if anyone will back me up on that but it is certainly true of VISA. A sticky needs putting up about this also, in that case.

Yes I get three red lights but not always sometimes the screen corrupts and then it hangs. I turn it off and then it hangs again after a couple of minutes. Keep doing that and then I get 3 red lights.

What is the number for Microsoft guys?
