Basically i have 3 gamer profiles on my 360, my profile has xbox live set up on it and have downloaded and unlocked many of the arcade games, the other 2 profiles are not set up to xbox live, i can see the games i have downloaded are also available on these but only trial versions, is there anyway around this?

I hate thinking i have paid for these games already and they are sitting on my hard drive but my girlfriend and little boy cant play them under their profiles?

If your Live account is signed into live on any controller or quadrant, the games should be unlocked for any other profiles. (i.e your account is just sat connected in the background, not actively playing).

The Trial and Unlocked versions of the game are the same file, you just need to prove that you own the game by signing into Live.

Is this the xbox you originally downloaded the content on? Or have you had a replacement at any point?
If you have the DRM licence linked to that xbox, you should be able to play offline as well.

This is almost certainly the answer, as when I moved my data from my Premium console to my Elite, anything I had previously downloaded wouldn't play unless I was signed into Live. I used the DRM transfer tool on the Xbox website to transfer the licenses to my Elite and now they all work fine for all profiles.

As far as i know its the same Xbox, it has been sent away twice for the old dreaded RROD but i've always checked that the one i get in return has the same serial number?

You should be ok then, unless they've replaced a lot of the internals and shoved it in the original case. Is the console ID the same?

Might be worth using the DRM tool just to check that the licences are definitely assigned to that Xbox. If not, try transferring them.

Be warned though, you can only transfer licences once per year. So ensure that you're definitely moving them to the right Xbox.

that's interesting, I remember when I got the xbox, I thought that this wasn't the case, and I was a little disappointed... but now that we've bought a few games on XBLA and proved to ourselves that it's all good were happy.

The interesting part for me will be when the next MS game console arrives, will we be able to take Arcade games with us?

okay done as was suggested about, logged into my profile with one joypad and then she switched to her profile with the other joypad, was confusing at first cause its still my theme and avatar that is up on the dashboard. At least she can go get her own achievement points now in her womanly games like Zuma :D

Cheers lads

I'd hope so. :)

I'd like to see full BC with the Xbox 360, especially concerning DLC and the arcade.

Yep. :) As long as you're signed into Live any downloaded content will be available.

If you're on the active profile (the person that pushes Start at the Start screen) you should have access to any available content.
