Does the frame rate suffer at all as you increase the resolution? I'm playing in 480i on a SDTV at the moment but I have a HDTV coming next week so I'll be switching to 720p or 1360x768.

Some people have said it does make a difference in some games, and that SD or 480p seems smoother. Not tried it myself, I run at 1280x768 with no problems at all.

I cant see there being a problem at 720p (Im on a 480p TV atm) as all games (except PGR3 for some reason) are rendered at 720p. The 360 then upconverts/downconverts the output as nessisary.

I have had no issues at 480i/p

That's the theory but as Nismo says, there have been reports that some games run smoother at 480i/p.

The only game that I have noticed anything with, was the first level of Tomb Raider, then after that it became fine.

I was playing it a bit around a friends, and level 1 was a bit smoother than mine, but then from level 2 onwards, it seemed to run fine! maybe a bit of screwy programing?
