I have xbox 360 Elite uk , would a region 1 us hd dvd work ?

All HD dvds are region free there is no region codeing but you need the xbox 360 HD dvd player to use them the elite on its own will not play them.

So if i buy a HD dvd for my elite 360 player i will be able to play R1
