Hi all,

I'm 60% atm going to buy a 360 tomorrow , i only spend 2-3 times a week on my PC and can't afford to keep it upgraded as i need a new gfx card.

I don't have a hdmi TV either, would this matter? what accessories are good to get?

You don't have a HDMI TV or a HDTV? You can get other HD inputs, for HDTVs without HDMI.

You can play the Xbox on a SDTV, but you'll get a better experience in High Def.

What kind of accessories are you after? A play and charge kit is pretty handy for the wireless controller, but otherwise it depends on what your after.

i'd get a vga cable for connecting your xbox 360 to your pc monitor, (providing its 17"+) as anything below that is maybe a bit hmmm. i game on a 15" 1024x768 monitor which is fine for singleplayer upclose but you cant obviously sit back or play multiplayer split-screen.
If you dont have a decent Pc Monitor you can go and get a Advanced scart Cable which will remove the blurry text issues that you'll soon see without it on a normal SDTV.

I don't have a HDTV,

i was thinking of getting for accessories the messanger pad and a wireless headset

You really need an HDTV, or PC monitor, to get the best out of the 360 (and PS3). It's like playing football with a plastic ball using an SD TV :(

Stick with the wired headset that comes with it for now; it's more than adequate :)
I use rechargeable AA's but you could think about a charge kit.

You get a Component/Composite cable with the Pro but you could get a VGA cable to hook it up to your monitor and it would work a treat.

I love the messenger pad but I wouldn't call it an essential but consider it :)

the 360 will be in my room , and i have ethernet cable long enough to go round my room so moving it to my TV wouldnt be an issue ill have a go at setting it up on my pc monitor 1st then if i dont like it then ill move to TV all i have is the default cable you get with the 360

^ yeah i've sussed that out now :) its at my TV atm but going to move it to my pc today

Well ive done so using the Red , Blue , Green conections and then using the red , white for sound , works fine :)

Though have to say it looks more pants on my pc monitor its all jaggy's and doesn't look nice

Burnout Revenge

Meh , ill make do with the TV :) my b-day next week so might use the ££ and get a new TV
