xbox 360 really dark....

hey guys, new monitor and 360, only thing wrong in 1080p is the darkness from the 360, on my pc its fine! ive set up my monitor perfect for my pc and it didnt take much changing, but the 360 via HDMI is sooooooo dark. is there anything in the 360 that will allow me to crank the brightness on it?

i have to wap my monitor full brightness and full gamma to have a decent bright pic for the 360, and then change it when i go back to the pc.

suggestions?

not sure, its the GameWARE HDMI 360 cable...

cant see it affecting the darkness of the screen.

I'm not sure there's much you can do unless there's a firmware update for your monitor allowing it to have different brightness profiles for the different inputs.

The 360's video output it's generally quite dark, this is why in all the gametrailer comparison videos they said the PS3 output looked "washed out", it's not washed out at all it's just that by comparison 360 output seems to exaggerate dark areas giving a more extreme HDR look to it.

You could probably change your PC's output to be darker so that you don't have to keep changing it but that's more of a work-around than a solution.
 
Not sure if it works on HDMI (my ps3 takes up that slot on my tv) but on vga the reference levels control how dark it is, just go to display options
