Hi,
I've received the dreaded "Ring of Fire" on my '360 again, and don't have a Warranty anymore.
Rather than send it up to Scotland to be fixed, I was contemplating an internal investigation myself.
Should the "hidden codes" created by the Red Lights indicate overheating, would it be prudent to assume that removing the heatsink, cleaning the processors and heatsinks, and the reapplication of thermal paste, would be a potential method of self-repair? or do I need to pack it off with a sporran and tam 'o shanter to get properly fixed?
Cheers
