Okay so i have used a 360 remote on my computer before worked just plug and play.
but now i cant seem to get it to work. I plug it in and get nothing what so ever no lights on the remote it wont even power up?...
Ive read about and sometimes USB ports might not give enough power to power it'?
Any help please. Thanks

have you tried it on the xbox to see if it works since its stopped working for the PC?

if its working on the xbox and not the PC then my only suggestion is to reinstall the drivers for it

It works on the xbox and works on my downstairs pc. which runs xp.
I have windows 7 installed drivers etc. and it doesnt even power on or recognise the device on the computer itself.

Can you manually download and install the drivers for it, then plug it in. If it works elsewhere it suggests a problem with either your usb ports or some drivers. Do other things (mouse, usb stick etc) work in the usb ports?

I have manualy installed drives and nothing and yes mouse, usb stick external hard drives all work? :/ im lost.

It doesnt even make the budum sound when you plug the USB in surely it should make that sound even if there are no drivers

Plug it in then go to device manager right click then scan for hardware changes probably won't work but thats all i can think lol

I have actualy never done that, and not got a clue how tbh.

Go to the motherboard manufacturer's website, find your motherboard and look for driver downloads, one will be for the usb ports. I doubt it will work, but you never know.

On another note entirely, Happy Xmas :)
