Xbox 360 RPG search! Help!

Right, I have currently got these RPG games and think this of them:

Borderlands - Combat is repetitive but love the loot system.
Oblivion - Love this game, but played to death now!
Fable 2 - Again, love it but played to death.
Fallout 3 - Not a fan really
Mass Effect 2 - Yet to complete, enjoy it :)
Did have FF13 - Got boring

I am looking for a RPG with a awsome loot system and skill system... Story is not that important but would be nice :D Recommendations anyone?

Mass Effect 1?
loved the levelling system and there's a ton of customisable options with weapons and armour
 
I really enjoyed Alpha protocol despite the awful reviews it got. The story really dragged me in and helped me forgive some of the (not -that- bad) bugs.
 
Dragon Age? Im playing it at the moment and as a RPG its far better than Mass Effect 2, not saying its a better game just a better RPG.
 
If your willing to include Xbox live games then DeathSpank is great fun, a light-hearted hack and slash RPG with random weapon drops etc. Other than that go for Dragon Age like others have said, it's damn good.
 
I heard Dragon Age is god awful on the 360 though? Compared to the PC (which I don't have one that can play it)... As in the graphics are just utter **** and the AI control/combat is terrible with the controller.

That's the only reasons I haven't bothered.

Yeah compared to PC it is pretty crap, but that's compared to PC, it's still decent on the consoles but if you have a PC that's half decent just get it on that.
 
Just looking at more detailed 360 vids of Dragon age... The gameplay looks bloody mint! The skill system looks right up my street tbh :D

Text my mate next door, he just popped round and dropped it off for me to borrow. Having a couple of tins together first then I will play it later :D Hopefully, if we don't end up watching crap on discovery half pished lol.

Just a quick question regarding DA... My mate doesn't know either, but if we get awakening (add on), the spells for the classes, are they unlocked from the start if we were to start a new character? Or is it a whole new game? Confused as this site suggests there are 'extra' skills with awakening.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope ?

Grabbing loot items/resources for Synthesis is quite an integral part of this game and the characters have lots of skills to use or level up.

Well Too human, although not well reviewed meets the criteria of being a loot based and skill based game. It's not the best but if you can find a demo or a way to rent it and end up enjoying it I'd recommend it. The game is designed to have a loot system like Diablo and reviews don't matter as much if that's the kind of game you like anyway. I had fun with the game despite the iffy controls (use analogues alone for combat which isn't the best but was at least unique) because of the loot system which is random like Diablo games.

Dragon age origins suits what you want too and I'd highly recommend it as it's a very good game.

Outside of skill and loot based games I would recommend Lost odyssey though (pretty traditional JRPG but done very well, great graphics and just fun).

Well, we ended up getting a wee bit tipsy and falling asleep watching Ice Road Truckers.... Awsome! (Sarcasm).

So, just installing it to the HD, mate has pished off home so I'm about to get dug in on Dragon Age Origins :)
