Xbox 360 S Drive breaking?

My Xbox 360 S is about 3 months old now.

I've been played NFS Hot Pursuit lately, when I turn my console off and turn it back on (I leave games in the tray) and start NFS up, the drive makes a strange noise and then I get a message saying disc is unreadable.

If I eject the disk and put it back in, it'll play fine with no problems.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Hmm it seems to be OK now when I turn the console on and off. Maybe the disk could have been a bit dirty. Need to get a HDD!
