xbox 360 S options/problems

Hi , my missus wants me to buy a new slim and kinect,now im thinking i may get a 4gb slim as i already have a 120gb HDD on my other xbox i could transfer to it
is it simply a case of removing the HD from its plastic case and putting it in the slim ?

also,i recently swapped my old launch day console for my mates hdmi console,obviously we kept our own hard drives and just swapped consoles , i ran the licence migration set up at xbox.com to transfer my COD map packs and other bits to the new console when id finished that it said i couldnt migrate for like another 12 months, so now i wont be able to transfer my map packs to a new slim ?

with regard to the 4gb model,is that inbuilt flash memory ? so if i added a 120gb id have that PLUS the 4gb total storage ? or is it a 4gb HDD inside the console ?
