Well basically I'm getting a new xbox 360 soon

However, I have no idea whether to get the 4GB or 250GB

I only plan on playing games like CoD multiplayer, but I wish to obtain the map packs

So will the 4GB version be able to hold the map packs? or will it struggle with space

What are the price differences? I'd recommend 250GB unless it's way more expensive. With 4GB you'll be forever juggling different installs/uninstalls to make room.

You will struggle with space, better to install the games to make the system whisper quiet. 250 gig willl be plenty for all your needs.

4GB is like 120 250GB is like 170

I'm guessing its not possible to use an old xbox hard drive with the new xbox?

You can use an old hard drive but it invovles removing the casing etc. You can get a 250 gig slim with gears 3 and fifa 12 for under £200 if you look on somewhere like hotukdeals - could always sell those to make about £60 back.

deffo the 250gb - you WILL struggle for storage space on the 4gb and end up paying for another HD

You can use the old HDD's from old consoles.

you have to strip off the casing and then you are left with the HDD that is the same size as the 250Gb ones.

Me personally, I would choose the 250Gb version.

I got the 250gb matte S from eBay for £130 sealed, so there is some deals on there if you don't want to pay £170.

wtf is the point in the 4GB ones seriously. YOu may as well spend that bit extra and get the full 250GB model.

It's called fooling adding consumer confusion, to fool the clueless parent, who'll end up buying it cos it's less expensive than the PS3, only to get home to realise that she's now going to have to go out and buy an additional HD.

Maybe wait for the MW3 limited edition console, It'll feature a custom themed Xbox, two wireless controllers, a copy of Modern Warfare 3, 320Gb drive......if you can wait till 08/11 of course

I'll be trading my 360 Slim in if they're going to offer the same terms as they did with the GOW3 console.

Or giving the option of a better finish than the crap gloss. I got a 4Gb and just added in a homemade 250Gb HDD.

(although the 250Gb gloss finish is being phased out in favour of the matte).
