Is anyone else having this problem? It happened 3 times to me this morning and seems to be getting more frequent.

I can be happily playing and the screen will just go black for a second or two then the picture will come back and can be fine for hours.

I know Jumpurs is having the same problem as we talked about it in another thread, anyone else?

I'd really rather not send my 360 back but it looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet.

The only games I recall it happening in are Full Auto and Fifa.

Sure its not lead related?

Lead appears fine, it's plugged in securely at both ends. I guess I could try the component lead I have. Might try and get another VGA cable before I ring MS.

Edit: But of course that means finding one in stock! :(

I've just looked on Gameplay and the Joytech lead (That I have) says 'de-listed by publisher' wonder why that is

That's happened to me also, I figured it may be the lead but it seems secure enough, I then came to the conclusion that it was happening because I had my tv card going at the same time (using my pc monitor) but if its happened to other people aswell hmmm.

edit: Oh and I'm using a Joytech vga lead to, the plot thickens

I would definitely try another (non-VGA) lead.

I've not really followed this as I am using component, but from what I've read the Joytech lead always seemed to be mentioned alongside the problem.

Do you get any red lights come up when this happens? If its a loose/dodgy lead then you would get a red ring, (on the console that is) :D

Due to my experience, if it happens any more more send it back, my 360 started having small glitches which became worse and worse as I tried to convince myself it didnt need to go back, got a replacement in about 10days.

No, no red lights come on at least not that I've noticed. I shall double check next time it happens.

Just a thought, have you got your pc and 360 using the same monitor, I remember being told some monitors when doing this can confuse which display to use for a sec or two sometimes, although ive never had that problem with mine, if my x360 is on and the pc comes out of hibernation or does some task the display will switch to pc and i have to go into the menu to get it back,, annoying as the buttons to do this are fiddly on my benq...

I do but that's not the issue, I unplugged everything except for the 360 just to prove it and it's still doing it.

Have you tried it on standard tv with scart? How often do you reckon its doing this?

I haven't tried it on my normal TV but will if I can get on it :p I've ordered a new VGA cable too just to prove it's not that.

This has happened quite a few times this weekend, it even happened twice to me whilst sitting at the dashboard which has never happened before and I was getting really bad artifacts in Full Auto yesterday :( A reboot fixed that but it is worrying.

I've had this happen twice (about 2 seconds each time) using Joytech VGA cable into a Dell 2005fpw.

My PC is plugged into the DVI input - if it makes any difference :)

I've never had the issue when using the standard cable to my TV.

Well I've ordered an official MS cable, God only knows when I'll get it though.

Is there only joytech do them? So much for people who said the MS ones were rabadged joytech items !
