xbox 360 screen?

hi all im thinking about getting an xbox 360..what i need to know is will this moniter work well with it OcUK Value Hanns-G HW191D 19" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Silver and if so what connection type eg dvi,vga as it has both

You'll need to get the Official Xbox 360 VGA HD cable. Will be fine on your monitor.

will i be able to run hd and what one 710 etc?.

Yes, the following is what you need:

It will do HD fine, 720p (which is 1280x720 in montor terms), but as your monitor is not natively that resolution, you'll have to run it at the highest 720p resolution the 360 can run at, which is 1366x768. It should look fine, as this is what most people with widescreen monitors run at I believe.

ive just flicked the bar down on me moniter to check reses and i dont get that option

It should be able to run on any resolution I'd have thought, as long as it's below 1440x900.

The following resolutions can be done by the 360 VGA cable:
* 640x480 (4:3)
* 848x480 (16:9)
* 1024x768 (4:3)
* 1280x720 (16:9)
* 1280x768 (16:10)
* 1280x1024 (5:4)
* 1360x768 (16:9)
* 1920x1080 (16:9)

Sorry for jumping in thread.

If i was to buy this cable..will it be supported on a Viewsonic VG2021m 20" LCD Monitor ( 1400 x 1050 ). Or will i have to get a smaller monitor?

hi again one more thing i have got a vga to dvi-d converter should i slap that on the vga cable and stick it in the dvi port or wont it work....?.

The DVI port needs to be DVI-I on he monitor for it to allow an analogue VGA signal. If it's not DVI-I on the monitor, it'll be DVI-D, which is digital only, and wont work.

oh no it states on ocuk dvi-d so wont be worth it then never mind.does any one else have this moniter and x box360? if so does it work well?.

i have that monitor with the ms VGA cable - it looks totally mint tbh.

Prefer VGA to HD tbh aswell.

You mean VGA to component?
