Guys,
I appreciate this particular post could be placed in any of 3 sections as it relates to consoles, motherboard and sound.

I have my Xbox 360 through my Dell 2407 monitor which works fine via component. My problem however lies with the sound. I bought a optical cable and connected my Xbox 360 to my PC via the SPDIF out on my P35C-DS3R motherboard but am still not getting any sound.

I have tried everything and am hoping someone has either got the same motherboard and solved it or got some idea of how to get the sound through my PC speakers.

I have read somewhere that you need a SPDIF in for it to work is this true.

Please please help someone
