Hi Guys

I've just sent back my second '360 having received the red-ring of light - It's kept in a well ventilated area.

Would anyone recommend the intercoolers available on the market - do they work? Is there any other way of prolonging the 360 lifespan, or is it simply a case of lucky dip?

Cheers.

To be honest I'd say not bother, if it's well ventilated (as you said yours was), then I'm afraid it's just a case of bad luck. There's never been any conclusive proof about the red ring of death connected with heating/ventilation issues just a common thing.

Personally, you've done the best you can, keep at it and save your pennies.

I take it you kept the power brick in as open and cool place you did the 360 didn't you? As that can cause some issues also.

Hmm, I have had mine since Launch and its been fine.

I have left it on all night atleast 3 times, got home drunk, banged on a dvd, paused it and left it on, works perfect, it sits on top of my sky+ box and its got room to breath and so has the brick.
