Hello,

Like a lot of F1 fans, I am eagerly waiting the release of F1 2010 on the Xbox 360. I would like to buy a steering wheel for the console to use with the game, however, after searching around this afternoon I have been unable to find a wide selection anywhere.

The official steering wheel doesn't seem to be available anywhere other than Ebay, and the only other one I can find is a Madcatz steering wheel...is this any good?

Advice/help much appreciated!

Thanks,

Tom

The official wheel is still available, just not very well advertised unfortunately.

The only other option is from Fanatec, but they are expensive (though I believe worth it).

logitech do a wheel for the 360 as well, it's pretty good I have one myself. Still haven't got the hang of it really and only pull it out for a blast on forza 3 every now and then, but it's quite fun with the force feedback and all that.

I thought MS had actually stopped making it a while ago, and that was the reason they were hard to get now?

I believe you're correct with regards to them stopping making it, however they are still 'reasonably' easy to pickup. You might not be able to get them on the big name websites, but you can certainly still get them on the highstreet and the smaller online retailers.

I heard somewhere that logitech have been given rights to create a new offical wheel

But since that i havent seen it anywhere

According to recent info when the Madcatz wheel was announced, it seems the MS wheel may be not being made anymore..

However, I went in the usual gaming shops in town, and they had the MS wheel instore for £80.. but it seems to be out of stock online just about everywhere now, it does seem it may well be on it's way out.

Other then that, the new Madcatz wheel you mention is a bit unknown, it's over £100 isn't it, and no real reviews yet?

The 360 Steering wheel choice is rubbish, the MS wheel is OK for £70, but you the only option is the Madcatz for more money, or the Fanatec for much more money (although that is an awesome wheel, I invested in one, and love it)
