Right guys,

I bought an Xbox 360 Premium system on Friday, Loving the simplicity compared to PC gaming which I am now out of due to expense getting in the way.

I bought a console bundle with Fable II and bought Battlefield Bad Company as well.

I bought Star Wars the Force Unleashed yesterday and still getting used to it. As its fairly tough on hard. Stubborn so wont give up.

Right, here is my evaluation of the 3 games:

Fable II - Impossible to play for short periods of time, great but like i said, only if you have hours to spend

Bad Company - Absolutely brilliant, great script, gameplay and weapons. Not to mention the sound is fantastic, also great online :)

Force unleashed - Tough on the hardest setting (not the unlocked one), tough to get used to but rewarding when you pull off something intentionaly.

I was wondering if anyone could rec me some games that are great both online and offline.

I have played the following on a previous 360: Halo 3, GoW, Oblivion, GRiD and a few others.

I am not looking for anything that was built for the pc aka left4dead as i just dont see how it would work with a controller....

Anyways, thanks for getting this far :) If you want to add me on xbox live, add freshage and let me know you added me from ocuk. Maybe even have a few games on bad company :)

RE5 is utterly brilliant and is keeping me very happy and busy atm. It's my goty so far and I'm someone who didn't like the demo.

Some of my other console-centric favourites are Dead Rising, Crackdown, Bully: Scholarship Edition, Banjo Kazooie N&B, and then some driving games Burnout: Paradise, PGR4 and TDU.

And if you like rpgs, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey & Blue Dragon are all very good.

Saints Row 2 is an absolute blast if you've not played it before, and it's definitely a console game. Even though it was designed for the PC (I think...), I'm really enjoying Bioshock on the 360. Dead Rising is also an absolute blast.

I've lost wayyy to many hours with Fable 2 , i finished the story at my GF's house then i bought a 360 and done it again :P though i am pritty much minted in that game!

Another vote for Bad Company too! :)

RE5 Frustrates me a bit too much though. I'd play the demo and see if you can life without moving when yous shoot. IMO Dead Space is the superior survival horror style game by miles. I started that all over again at the weekend and it made me realize how clunky RE5 was.

Played a fair few of the rec above on the PC, Dead Space is awsome :D

What you guys think of Prince of Persia?

Oh get Kameo, you'll be able to pick it up for pennies and well worth it, still a good game and still great looking.

Kameo is great and I also thought Dead Space was superb but there's something about RE5 I'm finding quite special.

I personally didn't think much of Prince of Persia. It looks and plays great but the dire and repetitive fighting and QTE sections make it a poor game (imo).

I loved PoP, one of my fave 360 games, and the DLC for it is well worth getting as well (if you like the main game that is).

Also, get Worms from the Acrade, great multiplayer fun for pittance ^_^

DLC?

And yea, owned one just as a casual bash when i got in from work and slummed onto the couch. But seeing as I have no rig atm (ignore the sig) and wont have for a longgggggggg time, the 360 is now going to be my main source of fun :D

I'm tempted to pick up either CoD:WaW or PoP tonight.... still not sure, played all the COD's on the pc so wont be playing anything new where as playing the new PoP will be refreshingly new for me :D

Have to say Agnes, am there with you on loving the simplicity of consoles over PC. Have had a hard time giving up the pc for gaming, but these days it's just too much hassle.

Just recently, have received wrong orders, hardware thats failed within hours, hardware that has issues due to factory OC.... not to mention driver problems, and other stuff.

Its all given me a healthy appreciation for my 360 again!

I'll suggest some games which can be picked up really cheaply these days:
Dark Sector
Ninja Gaiden 2
Mass Effect

I LOVED the first Ninja Gaiden on the old xbox, still got it somehwhere in the huge pile of original xbox games i have lol.

Will have a look at dark sector :D

And good call on the pc bits and cheap games, not looking at dishing out 50 quid a pop, just 20 odd quid on a couple of decent old games will do me to get in touch with the console :D

Yeap, i couldn't get into PoP either, i never played any on the last gen, but i just couldn't be bothered when i played this one. The biggest annoyance i think was they used the voice of Nathan Drake (from Uncharted) IMO that was a silly idea.

Down Loadable Content

There is an add on pack for PoP you can get (though some versions of the game ship with the add on pack now, or at least a voucher to claim it from XBL).

It is very good and adds annother hour or so's worth of gameplay and storyline onto the end of the game.
