Hey is the Uk geting the price drop soon in the states on the bigest online store you can pick up the prem (pro) for $349.99!! thats £176.036

Would be very temped to buy it for around £200

sorry if this has been asked before but i can't find the search thingie

WHAT? I love the look of the 360. Better than the shiny PS3 imo*




*This is not a fanboy comment, purely my opinion on the physical look of the consoles.
 
The PS3 dosent look particularly nice from the front, it looks great if you can sit it on the side with the logo showing, but i cant see many people having it like that, it takes up too much space.

A 360 with a nice face plate looks great.
 
According to the Mircosoft rep I spoke to at work yesterday the price drops are due before Christmas, along with the addition of the HDMI port to the premium console around the same time.
 
Thought Id post this dont believe it though, strictly in the rumor section at the min.
We've just been contacted by a trusted Microsoft insider with exclusive news that the Microsoft Xbox will be at a new recommended retail price from Friday August 24, 2007.

The new prices are:

Core £179.99
Premium £249.99
Elite £299.99

Probably later in the year, wouldnt think they'd drop the price of the Elite before it gets a release.
 
There hasn't been any mention of UK/EU price drops at the moment.

The US, Mexica, Canada and Australia have had annoucements about price cuts (and in the case of Australia the annoucement of the Elite's release).

There is a rumour that the new HDMI Premium consoles will start to make an appearance around the same time as the Elite's release in the UK.

The Elite and newer Premium boards are still going to be based on 90nm parts but with the obvious HDMI and newer heatsink modifications.

The Elite hasn't actually got a confirmed price on it yet though has it?

I don't think I've seen a confirmed price for the Elite. Most pre-order prices are at £329.99 but it may be that the price will actually be £299.99.
