Xbox 360 - VGA Cable or Component?

Hi all,

Just been out and purchased a Full HDTV. Now because I have an arcade 360, it only comes with the SD cable.

Would I be better getting the component cable or VGA?

Does VGA support 1080p?

Not sure really, but VGA has always looked better when I've used it.

VGA does support 1080p and should look better than component. You need to make sure the TV is actually capable of outputting 1920x1080 over VGA though.

While you've already got it, I figure I may as well reply.

It's really down to the TV and personal preference. On my screen I'm using VGA, and haven't tried component. I might give it a shot if I can borrow a friends cables just to check out the difference though.

Most people think that VGA is sharper, where as comp is more vivid. But as mentioned, TV type and the settings make huge differences.
