Helloooo :D

I decided to buy a VGA lead as I have read lots of people saying how good it is.

I connected the VGA to my LG 32LX2R and used a DVI to VGA adapter.

The result was .... crap!

If I increase the resolution to anything over 600x400 it has a big black band on the right side and the picure is poshed over to the left.

If I set it to the native resolution it still happens.

Does anyone know why this is?

Does the DVI to VGA adapter make any difference as I was using the one that came with my mac mini.

Thanx for anyhelp!

Do you get issues in *every* resolution? Even 1366 x 768?

I doubt that the DVI => VGA connection would affect it to be honest.

Check your TV manual / menu to see if there are any specific settings you have to tell it to do through that connection.

Thanx for the quick reply!! :D

Yep any other that the 600x400

I use that connection with my laptop and mac mini fine with DVI-D and VGA so it deffinetly works fine.

It doesn't make sence?

I had issues with centering with a joytech lead, the MS one is absolutely spot on through at all resolutions.

Also, your TV should have an 'auto-adjust' menu option in the VGA/PC settings, or at least something where you can move the screen manually.

Hello :D and thanx for the replys!

Its not the official microsoft one. I thought it was but only realised when I got home it wasn't.

I will try the auto adjust feature on the TV and see if it makes a difference.

I might try it around my brothers house on his TV.

Are there any other ideas?
