Howdy.

Out of all the millions of HDTV's in the world, I happen to have one that doesn't have component input, which is like the standard HD input for earlier xbox's I believe...well that's what mine came with anyway.

So anyway, will microsofts VGA cable give me a good HD picture on my TV? It has a VGA input for a PC.

Has anybody/does anybody use this? In most reviews I've read practically all people seem to be using it to connect their xbox 360 to a computer monitor, whereas I want to connect to a HDTV, so was just wondering if there would maybe be any problems since monitors are good friends with VGA input as standard. (for lack of better phrasing..) :p

Logic simply tells me that it should be fine of course, but just wondered if anyone uses VGA from xbox to HDTV. ;)

Cheers.

I use VGA with mine, its a 3rd party one and looks spot on, I have the option to use HDMI now since I upgraded but still use VGA because I have the cable.

BTW if you want to go for VGA go to one of the Highstreet stores and ask if they have any pre-owned ones, picked up an official one for a friend for £4.99.

Yes - looks great too. But they can look a little washed out, so use the built in gamma correction if you need to.

BTW - do not go for the unofficial ones. I've heard they look horrible.

Yh I've heard of bad ghosting issues with some of the cheaper versions so I'll definitely go for the official one.

Cheers for the replies guys

i use both vga and hdmi depending on what else is plugged into the tv and i cant really tell the difference
