Xbox 360 VGA - Flicker?

I'm using a 24" Full HD Asus monitor via VGA for my 360. When I was playing Lego Batman I noticed on a black screen that the picture flickered, when I pause the game and look really close to the monitor it seems that I can notice a slight flicker in the image, as if the image isn't perfectly still?

Quite hard to explain but maybe someone knows what I'm reffering to? Is it normal?

It just seems to do it on all black backgrounds, like a black loading screen for example. I'm not sure if it's just normal. hmm

Yep, using official cable.

It just must be normal on all displays - Tried it on my brothers TV and his does the same thing on black backgrounds, obviously isn't really noticeable when playing something though. Maybe it's the backlight?

Sorry for another post but I think I might have figured it out...

On my monitor I've got various picture settings, normal, scenery, game mode, etc and I usually always leave it on game mode for my 360.

When on black screens (usually loading screen) and on game mode it isn't a jet black color, kinda like as if you can see the pixels moving around, but when my monitor is on normal mode if you look really close you can still see the effect a bit but it's no where near as noticeable.

So I guess it's gotta be something to do with the contrast?

Cheers
