XBox 360 VGA Help Required

I've now hooked up my XBox 360 to my Iiyama E2710HDS 27" monitor by VGA and have a picture and sound. I have to use VGA as my monitor only has a DVI and VGA connector. However, when I try to changed the resolution to 1920 x 1080 the screen and text is blurry. I think it's the cable as I'm sure I got a cheap one from somewhere and it's not the official MS one.

I just want to make sure that it is the cable before I go and buy the official one and end up with the same problem.

What does it look like in 720p? Is it still blurry then?

I've always heard only go for the official one if you want to get a decent picture, but if you've gone for a dirt cheap one, it's probably the issue.

Is it all blurry in every game / xbox dashboard?

Yes, it's blurry in all the resolutions I've tried. I'll get the official one tomorrow and try that.

I did the same thing as you and had the same problem with the 1980 x 1080 rez i got the official xbox 360 vga cable problem solved :cool:

Got myself an official cable today and all sorted now. Just goes to show that it's worth spending a few extra bob sometimes!
