Does anyone have the phone number for the people to call to buy an extended 2 year warranty?

I have the leaflet that came with the console, but there is no number on this and I would rather speak to someone. I am sure I read that people had done this over the phone.

Thanks

A couple of my mates are having problems with thier Xbox 360's! They are gutted. They wished they had had the chance to have an extended warranty!

The number for Xbox Customer Support is 0800 587 1102. I don't know if you can extend the warranty via them but if it can be done on the phone then they should be able to provide you a number.

Yes that is the number you extend the warranty on

do you need to send it in to get it checked or anything? if you warrenty goes can you take out a new warrenty plan?

Aye, I'm looking into doing this tomorrow not bad considering the very high failure rate of the console and knowing my luck it will pop soon :p

How much is it again? £35? Thats bloody cheap. When a friend of mine bought his 360 from a well known electrical chain they wanted £75 off him for an extended warranty for the 360.

Is that £35 for an extra 2 years (i.e 3 years from purchase) or 2 years from purchase?

Ok, just got off the phone from Xbox Support (0800 587 1102), who have just extended my warranty by an extra 12 months for £29.99.

I bought my first 360 in December 2005 and it died last September 2006, however the company I got it from sent me a brand new replacement but advised me that MS would only honor the warranty from the original purchase date of December 2005.

However the lady at Xbox took down my serial number and told me the warranty expires in July 2007. So I didn't complain at this and was given the option to buy 1 year for £29.99 or 2 years for £59.99.

So my 360 is now in warranty until July 2008 for £30. Not bad seeing that I bought it in December 2005 :)

Thought it'd be cheaper than that to be honest. Oh well.

Yeah I was happy paying £30 seeing that I have already had one 360 die and it sounds like people are still having them go even now.

£30 or £250 for a new one when it goes out of warranty?
