Xbox 360: Which game next?

I have an xbox 360 and these games:

Saints Row
Condemned
Need for Speed: Carbon
Gears of War
Call of Duty 3

But I want just one more to give me a nice variety, also it's gotta be one I can play with a mate on the same screen & console.

Originally I was looking at FlatOut Ultimate Carnage, but apparently there's a few annoyances in that game that kind of spoil it.

I don't know much about 360 games, but I'm looking at something multi-player (well, 2 player at least), something fun - not a 'serious' game, not golf/football/tennis/etc... The kind of thing you can drink a few beers and play with a mate.

Feel free to post long lists if you can't think of any specific games, I can look through reviews :) Something like Burnout would've been good, but I already have revenge & takedown on original xbox.

Thanks in advance!

DOA4 - Great game if you really wanna emmerse yourself in the technical side of the game and also great for playing with mates before you go out. Can be bought for £12.99 in certain places brand new.

I have to mention my second favourite game too - Dead Rising. It's not multiplayer but is definately one of the freshest games out there. This will turn into a true classic. Again, can be had very cheaply - saw it for £14.99 brand new today in town.

I also remember playing a few co-op levels locally with a mate in Marvel Ultimate Alliance. That was quite fun too.

Dead Rising
Burnout Revenge
Tomb Raider: Legend
Project Gotham Racing 3
Test Drive Unlimited
The Darkness
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter 2

Those are just some ideas, I've loved all of those.

Earth Defense Force 2017

Save earth from an alien invasion of giant ants, spiders and robots. If your looking for split screen action it doesn't get much more fun than this.

+ Bargain price of around £15

- Framerate drops quite a lot, but you'll be laughing too hard to notice :)

If you tell me that this is like Body Harvest(N64) but on speed I will reach for my wallet now..... ;)

What annoyances? :)

Serious.
Firstly I didn't realise it had no split screen  It's a definate no then!

But what I've heard is...
- occasionally when you go to 'take out' another car, it sticks to your bonnet, and this happens more than once or twice
- the AI accelerates too fast - if you make one mistake in some races, you need to restart to catch up
- clipping the corner of your car can send you into an out-of-proportion spin

Of course I've not played it so they could have been over-exaddurated to me.

I'm still surprised about the lack of split-screen..?! I would've thought it was an essential in that game.

EDF looks worth a look in to. Does Dead Rising have split-screen multi player?

i would definatly pick up burnout.
I already have revenge and takedown for the original xbox :) Revenge (xbox 1 version) doesn't run on the 360 though! Haven't tried takedown in it yet :(

All tosh (except the splitscreen) give it a try. It has party mode which is good enough. besides I really don't think glorious destruction would work in splitscreen :(

All the reviews out for it are a joke and just go to show how little the reviewer played the game :(

I've only played the demo on marketplace, but Flatout is the first driving game that I've actually enjoyed! I loved trying to get to the bronze, silver and gold targets as fast as possible:D Manged to get bronze over the first jump once :D

Ah, right! You've not had any of those problems then?

So the party mode... what is it? Taking turns in something I guess?

edit: I'm looking at Full Auto and Perfect Dark now... they look like good games? Can be had new - £30 for them both :)

Flatout is probably one of the best driving games on the 360 besides burnout....great game that has been one of the very few not to have needed an update in the first week or too

Party mode allows you to just play the mini games (a lot of fun :)) with up to 8 players taking turns. Races can be setup to be short if you want to do that making things quick :) Plus spectating the races is always fun :>

Having re-read a few of the reviews I now so why people are complaining about cars getting stuck on them:

THEY AREN'T BLOODY DRIVING PROPERLY!!!

they appear to be gently pushing the other cars until they spin. That = epic fail.

Need to give them a good old fashioned thump. Or better yet a decent Thwack :>

Basically people that don't appear to be very intelligent are trying to drive as though they can't possibly dent their precious car :p Fools :>

IMO FlatOut sucked majorly. The physics were just plain stupid at the best of times, you use the 'cop' tactic and nudge the car in front just behind its rear wheels, and it spins around slowly and embeds itself to your flipping bumper. You end up going at minus 10 MPH, and by the time you've got the bloody car off you, you're already in last place.

The starting grid was a joke, the lights go green and you accelerate hard, but even then, the first 6 or so cars seemed to travel at warp speed, it took the rest of the race just to even catch up. Oh, and no matter how fast you drive, those cars are always behind you, or close enough to rocket past you when you make the smallest mistake.

Fair enough the game's got some silly amount of destructible items in the levels, but it's actually quite aggrivating when you hit random items on the ground and you get slowed down again.

The only redeeming feature this game has are the stunts.

And yes, I was one of those reviewers who hated this game.
