Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter

I used to have my 360 connected through my computer using ics while it was in my bedroom, since its moved to the living room i was going to buy one of the new wireless adapters. However their price (54 quid) seems a bit steep for what it is, therefore is there anything else such as a wireless bridge that would work?
