Xbox 360 Wireless Adaptor

Anyone got one of these? Are they worth coughing up £55 for?

The 360 connected nicely through my SKY router (cabled) just wondered if they wireless option will be as easy?

I use one but only because having it wired isn't an option with my current layout.

Had a few problems setting it up and for the first week, has been stable ever since.

Hasn't gone down on me in the 6 months I have used it

If you have it wired don't bother with wireless. Especially if you have your Xbox far away from your router. I have a friend which lags phenomenally with wireless and his router is downstairs. So they are not very good for range.

Yeah good point. Mine is only 5 metres from the router but because of walls and stuff it is the only solution.

I had to buy one cause there was no cable solution. But is it worth £55, not really. On the plus side it works well and easy to set up.

I got mind for £35, so wasn't too bad.

I use the wireless adapter, router downstairs and 360 in my bedroom. Always a full signal and easy to set up, it connected to a network before i even got to the setup page

. It does work with WPA and WEP. The only real downside is if you use media centre to stream videos to the 360 it will stutter quite a lot on high quality video.

I use a NETGEAR Wireless Game Adapter WGE111 for my gaming with no problems it plugs into the rj45 port on the xbox and i got it cheaper than the xbox branded one.

A Wireless ethernet bridge does a better job for £15-18. Don't be a mug buying the official wireless product.

Quoted for truth. I have set up a WRT54G in bridged-wireless mode for use with a 360 and it works great. Why pay £55 for a wireless adaptor that you can only ever use with one device?

interesting..... as i have the Sky specific router, im assuming that I could get their Wireless adaptor, plug it into the 360 and bobs your uncle?

Be handy that, as its just £20.

I bought the ms wireless adapter as I didn't know any different. Other people I know just use a network cable and wireless adapter.

I've had no lag using wireless yet, so fingers crossed.
