Xbox 360 Wireless Controller

Hey, I bought an Xbox 360 premium pack and an extra wireless control a few months ago, yesterday I took the controls to my mates house to play on his 360, at first I had a problem where I would turn one of the controls on and it would just flash on the guide button continuously, then we plugged in the play and charge kit and it found it on the 360 and was able to work wirelessly after that.

Now at my house with my 360 I cant get any of the controllers to connect, it just flashes all 4 lights on the guide button over and over not finding the 360. Ive tried changing the batteries but its weird how its both of them playing up.

If anyone has had experience with this I would appreciate any advice
I dont have the play and charge kit myself so I cant use my 360 atall hehe

Very very silly question, but you have tried pressing the connect buttons on the 360 and the controllers? (The button to the right of the memory card slots, then the little button at the top of the controller between the triggers).

Yeah ive tried that, but it doesnt seem to work either, the pattern of the flashing guide button changes speed too

Did you follow exactly what the manual says for connecting up controllers? (can't remember what it specifically says).

yeah ive tried a few ways, off the MS site.. ive ordered a play and charge kit, see if connecting that makes them work
