Hi,
Getting ready to buy a Xbox 360 Wireless Headset. Just wondering if they are any good? Some people have written reviews saying that the voice sounds terrible and they break easy.

Has anyone on here had problems with the headset.

I find I have to speak a lot louder when using mine, I've actually just gone back to using the wired one now.

I'm also thinking about getting one of these so would be interested to hear more opinions.

They do look much better than the wired version and the wires really annoy me so I'm hoping they are just as god to use.

Never had a single problem with mine, nor has my friend. Some find them uncomfortable though, as for some unknown reason, they only come with medium and small ear loops.

Got one from here on the MM the official MS one, it’s quite tricky to use tbh, you can’t see the buttons so I just press which ever and hope it turns the volume up :D It beeps sometimes as well  better then the wireless one anyway :)

The wireless one is better than the wireless one? :p

Having owned the original xbox microphone, the 360 mics and the halo 2 microphone I can say that the wireless is by far the comfiest microphone around, holds quite a good battery and voice quality is as good as the rest. Only slight problem is the reciever is not as sensitive as others tend to be so you may need to talk slightly louder if you're quiet.

Not a single issue, it's got pretty good voice quality on the ear piece and mic, and mine is one of the apparently unreliable batches – read about that ages ago.

Scort.

Well since the microphone itself is positioned where my cheek is, I have to speak a lot louder. I dont understand why Microsoft designed them this way. There are also apparently 2 versions, (the first version which came out when it was originally released) had awful sound quality. But I think a newer revolution has replaced that now and its better quality.

So don't buy one second hand :)

It’s the way they are supposed to be designed, have you seen mobile phone wireless headsets? There exactly the same, don’t see a problem myself I speak normal and people can hear me the same :)

Mine is a release day headset, and it's perfect.

Only thing I dislike about this is the mute thing, as its on the side of ya head its harder to do. The wired one I can just flick the switch which is on the controller much easier to talk to someone in same room as me without others hearing.

if you're say moving at the the same time in an fps then yes otherwise its not really an issue, eg when I use it on halo online and someone talks to me Ill mute it when I die.
