XBox 360 wireless network adapter?

Do I have to get one of the Microsoft WNA's or is there a cheaper alternative?:)

Their is an alternative as far as i can remember, Wireless ethernet bridge but requires a free socket and is quite less "discrete". I would get the official version and have a look around for a 2nd hand one :). I just bridge mine into my laptop :D.

Is it possable to share a Laptops Wireless connection wih the 360?

Do you have to use a crossover cable?

Can anyone provide instructions on how to get this to work?

Cheers

Look around for second hand version's, I know of 2 high street shops that sell them second hand and another big chain had them on special for £45 new, not sure if it's still running though.

Had to buy 2 for my house, but recently installed some CAT5 cable, had a good few months use out of the adapter though....traded it in for £25.

You could do what I'm about to do tonight and buy a cheap wireless access point from ebay, run the DD-WRT firmware on it and set it up as a wireless receiver:

The list of DD-WRT supported routers/access points can be found here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices I bought myself a Belkin F5D7230 off eBay for a tenner..you can't get much cheaper than that!

Will let you know how things go tonight!

Any ideas of where from anyone? I only seem to unearth £40+ wireless ethernet bridges by googling :o

If they cost much more than £20, may as well buy the official dongle. I'll investigate the MIP though for a pre owned unit.

Second hand is your best bet.
