Hello - what alternatives are there to the official 360 wifi adapter?

I'm very reluctant to pay the £stupid that they try and charge for it. The price of the thing is hilarious.

How's everyone got their 360 hooked up to their wireless network?

The price may be "hilarious", but there is no denying it works, and works very well.
Yeah.. you'd hope so. The friggin' original Nintendo DS has WiFi built in.

The repurposing method sounds good. Perhaps Linksys WRT54GL router, Tomato firmware, in wireless client mode.

Benefits: will support WPA2 as a client, is a great router when it's not acting a client, costs £40something.
