Xbox 360 Wireless Racing Wheel – 80 pounds
Taxi home – 5 pounds
Seeing my wife’s face when given it as Valentines present – priceless :D

She was in a bit of a shock when I give it to her (after presenting her with some lingerie) :D

The only games she plays on 360 are arcades and racing. She found controller to be quite difficult but she used to do very well in Need for Speed on PC with a steering wheel.
So here we go, I bought her Racing Wheel.

Using it myself I must say its great device. Superb build quality, as usual with Microsoft products (with exception of Xbox 360). Vibration and feedback are great. At the moment we only have PGR3 (got it with the wheel) and after playing demo version with controller it’s a very big difference.
If you like driving games I think it’s a must have device for 360.

Please excuse my English. I’m tired, plus had few glasses of wine :p

damn, why didnt you post a pic of her playing it while wearing the lingerie ? :D

love my wireless wheel, great piece of kit, can't wait for forza 2 :)

Got mine the other day, very well made. Force feedback is excellent, although i had to take my first wheel back as there was a very loud cracking sound everytime I turned left!.
Takes some getting used to but adds so much more enjoyment to PGR3.

Again cant wait for forza 2, sega rally, and dirt. I hope they sega rally and dirt have been coded with the wheel in mind :)

I love my wheel :) However there seems to be some lateral and vertical play in the column. If you grip the wheel it can be wiggled on the shaft a little bit, anyone else got that?

Yeah mine does the same, doesnt effect game play though and if it gets too bad within the next year ill just get it replaced.
Reading on the net there have been some bad batches, people have had the cracking sound i got when turning left or right. Popping sounds when pressing down the accelerator, and the wheel being off centre.

damn these look soo good, only thing that annoys me is lack of gearstick. :o
It is a safety concern, holding the wheel with one hand whilst changing gear could lead to the wheel ripping your arm clean out of your shoulder should you have the forcefeedback adapter plugged in!

I wouldn't worry about the stick you'll soon get used to the paddles.

I've just rang every shop in town and also tried all the usual suspect online and and no one has any and I want one for PGR4. Apparently they were all recall due to them setting on fire.

Yep, they were all recalled and there has been no word on when they'll get released again. I actually fancy getting one now :p

That's normal mate, it's due to cheap plastic braces iirc but the play shouldn't get worse with time.

Posted before but for anyone who may have missed it, heres the link for free retrofit if you already have a wheel.

I STILL haven't got my damn retrofit!

Edit: oops old thread :p But I still don't have my retrofit!

Got it off Nokkon 2nd hand, just cba to plug it in lol.

Got a PS3 sitting next to me now aswell, woo woo... need to install Linux on it, anyone got a good link?

Need to? Any reason why? :p I always thought Linux on the PS3 was rather pointless.
