just got one today. lovely bit of kit, but...my god it's taking some getting used to!

anyone else got one? how long did it take to get used to using it on PGR3?

Does it work with pc also? I'm looking at getting a wheel, however the G25 doesn't work with 360. Would you need the wireless receiver to get it working on the pc?

I've got one , it took me a while to get used to it but now I find the games easier as you have much better control of the cars, I am dissapointed in NFS Carbon not having FF enabled, TDU sure is good now with full force feedback, don't like the fact the Bikes on it dont auto-lean-forward though.

Yes you can get a wireless dongle to make it work on the pc although I dont know if the force feedback works .

Do you use the force feedback rabid? I find myself wrestling with the wheel quite a lot!
Your right i find I'm fighting more than playing real driving is nothing like the force they put on that steering wheel.

Whats always put me off is reaction times, surely its much quicker to just go left to right on an analogue stick. The last game I played where I found the wheel better than the pad was sega rally on the saturn.

I'm really not getting on with this thing at all. At first it was cool, but it didn't take long before the novelty wore off!

Plus, I'm poo with it, and I can't be bothered to re-learn PGR3 and Test Drive.

Back to the shop it goes!

Maybe when a new driving game comes out, start with the wheel then?

Mines is gathering dust until Forza 2 comes out tbh.
Infact does anyone know if you can use this with Forza??

I hate they way they call it a 'wireless' wheel lol

Bah gonna be one of the best games for 2007 wait n see wait n see.
Looking to buy a racing seat and wheel myself but thats approx £300 worth, still it add to the fun though.

I prefer the look of the Logitech wheel

The force feedback is crap though, microsoft is the only decent one available.
It will be excellent with Forza 2, and YES forza 2 was written for the wireless wheel from ground up so it 'should' handle superbly with it :)

yes it works with forza, been playing it with the wheel for weeks, it's really good with it. just remember to plug it into the wall socket before you play or you'll have no force feedback at all. although the FF is pretty mellow when it's plugged in, but still very intuative and gives a great individual feel to the cars.

i have found that it is really down to how good you are with your feet more so than your hands, a few millimetres of to much gas can spin you right out in the more mental cars (hennessey viper :D )

sorry to kickup a old thread, but i wondered does the xbox 360 wheel come with PGR3 no matter what competitor you order with?
i mean did Microsoft ever do just the wheel by itself?

not 100% sure on this but i think i read that PGR3 will come with the wheel for a limited time only.

Yeah its a limited thing like the offer that was on the HD-DVD drive when you got King kong and the remote.

The PGR disc has the drivers for the wheel on it, maybe they will just replace it with a disc for the drivers after a while instead of the whole game.

I find the wheel excellent on PGR3 although TDU is terrible, They really screwed up the feedback on TDU, you can't go past 80mph without the wheel shaking violently side to side after an encounter with the smallest bump ever.

I got the wireless receiver for windows and use the wheel on GTR2 and Richard Burns. It makes GTR2 a whole lot easier and realistic, my lap times have improved dramatically. There is no force feedback on the pc but if you plug the power cable in you still get the resistance from the motors which makes it feel realistic still.

You don't even need the disc with the drivers now as the last major dashboard or PGR3 update included them i think.

i took my wheel back before i got too attached to it! i don't play racing games enough to warrant £80 on one.

however, it is a very nice bit of kit but it takes practice!
