Hi,

i bought Full Auto yesterday for the 360. It's a great game expect the gfx lag. I mean i pad £40 for a game and £300 odd for what is said to be a next gen console and get lag - esp in the desert stages. Anyone else get this cuz its really annoying for how much everything related to the 360 costs - i expect perfection dam it!

:(

Yes, it's Full Auto. It has real frame rate issues in places. Should have got yourself Burnout!

If you demand perfection, then you're in for a flamin nightmare.
Quite a lot of games have frame rate drops atm, and Full Auto is just one of them. Given that we're in the early stages of the console's life it's to be expected though. A year down the road and you'll be seeing some lethal quality releases that don't have sloppy engines.

Full auto is a top game though. Prefer it to Burnout which I'll be getting rid off soon as I've only played it a few times since buying it.

I never noticed any lag in Full Auto I was too busy chuckling away at the size of mah guns.
Hehe, I never noticed any frame rate drops in online mode but deffo did on the desert tracks in single player. I think it was the timed sprint single player tracks that were laggy for some daft reason - made no sense given that theres no AI opponents on them for timed games.

well "perfection" is probably too a strong word to use with any modern techology now. Just think its a bit farfetched that a game designed for the 360 - and the developers know exactly what hardware all their games will run on, unlike pcs - that i get drops. Was just playing it a minute ago. was in the middle of about 8 cars, used both weps and got 5 kills in a row (lucky i know), and the games paused for a second and then went on as normal.

I can see why pcs games may lag as every single pc set up is different, but its seems very strange that lag should even be mentioned when someone mentions the 360. Developers know exactly what piece of hardware their games will be played on. Can't see how a game got released where this happens. I could understand if this happens in one place or occassionally, but when the action lags so much it becomes unplayable there have gotta be serious issues there. bleh, this is typical of a certain company we all love to hate

I am wondering if you've got a scratched disc or something as you're having issues that seem a serious problem to you. It might just be that you had incredibly high expectations but it sounds more like a duff disc or something.

The thing is, the software developers are having to adopt to an entirely new way of coding their games for the 360 due to its multi-threaded nature. The fact that the vga has a fairly unique architecture also makes it a bit more difficult to get the best out of it. Once they get to grips with programming for multicore processors and get to grips with the best way to make use of the graphics the games should get a whole lot smoother.

Its not Microsoft's fault that the current crop of games show some framerate issues, its simply the developers not knowing the product properly yet. Just look at current PS2 games compaired to the early releases to see what can be squeezed from a system when you get to grips with it.

So you blame Microsoft because *developers* haven't gotten to grips with the power of the 360 yet, and learned how best to program for it?

Blimey theres a bit of lag in the first few 360 games as developers aint got to grips with yet as its new, well thats a bit of a ****** init, they should know the ins and outs now surely, should be able to make it sling games around that look real at about 500fps, i mean come on you lot what yer playing at, you've had it 5 minutes, i expect more in that amount of time!!!!. :p

cant leave this game alone ......me thinks divorce might be just round the corner

No it ain't! Love the game but there's slowdown in places. Try starting at the back of a 8-strong grid...not to mention the 1024x600 resolution and poor AA
