You can buy a special vga cable for the 360 to use on the monitor, it doesnt involve the pc at all

Best £20 I spent. Also has digital audio (optical) aswell.

So, my 19" monitor isn't the same size as the 28" TV, so what? The quality difference is amazing.

What do you mean quality, like would it be better than my standard TV quality?

On a standard, non HDTV PAL TV, you've only got a small resolution, 576 lines, but on the 360, via the VGA cable, you can have 1280x720 etc, so a lot more to see. It's a massive improvement over playing on a standard TV, but PC gaming has been doing HD resolutions for years anyway, just this is new to the console market.

Having just bought into the HDTV world I can safely say your monitor would be far, far superior!

i have a 21" CRT monitor

but am thinkign about getting a 32" HD LCD TV

Aside from the size would there be a difference in picture quality from the monitor to the TV?

Thanks.

Also on that VGA cable does it just use one input to go on the line in of your pc?

VGA cable has a VGA plug, and the red and white audio leads.

It comes with a red/white ---> 3.5mm Jack to plug into your amp/sub/whatever or you can use it without the jack.

Not sure if that answered your question or not. So I'll do a doodle :)
Code:
 ____ ___
|Xbox| ----- |VGA| (Monitor)
 ----- | ----
              | ____
              |___ |Audio| (Amp/Sub/Whatever)
                       -----

Well, you get the idea, I hope. :p

Yup that answers my question exactly :)

Basicaly the split red and white go into a jack (that comes with the cable) that goes into a port (like the line in on my sound card :))
