I have just got a brand new one of these for use with compatible Windows games.

I installed the software successfully and it is seen in games controlers in control panel but i cannot figure out how to set it up or use it with any compatible game.

For example Call of Duty World at War the controler is shown in the game manual but no indication of how to set it up for that game and when i launch the game i see no options for it in the controls section.

What am i missing or doing wrong??

Thanks.

most compatible games auto setup the pad when the game starts, i know crysis, Flatout UC, GTA IV, Sega Rally and GRID all do this.

normally its just a matter of changing in setup menus otherwise, not sure with cod.....its a mouse n keyboard game tbh :)

COD doesn't support gamepads full stop. You have to use the Xpadder software to translate pad input into key presses.

Trying to use a game pad to play a Call of Duty game on the PC is what your doing wrong ;)

Everyone else will be using mouse and keyboard if you're playing online and you'll more than likely just end up being a bit of target practice if you use a pad against them

Then why does the games DVD case say on the back "supports xbox 360 controller for windows" and has the controller icon and also why is it shown in the games manual if it aint supported?? a big printing error or what.

I just checked out the CoD:WaW manual on Steam. There is no mention of controllers in that?

Mmmmm, controller support is not mentioned on this Disc case inlay:

This is the American release though.
