Xbox arcade

ok so my xbox is the cheap one. arcade i think they are called.

im wanting to get a new tv to get the best out of it but im not sure whether i need to bother with a full hd set or not. i have no other hd devices, but is it still worth going for the 1080p sets?

Current consensus appears to be that 1080p is not really necessary until you get over about 42" screen size or you sit very close to your TV.
If you're not watching Blu-Ray films as well you'll probably be fine with a 720p TV.

Just get a full HD 1080P one. They are getting dirt cheep nowadays anyway.

I got a 1080i screen (Toshiba 42WLT66) a while back, would've gone for a 1080p had they been a bit cheaper back then. More than happy with the i though, you'll only notice a difference (imo) when watching blurays.

Considering none (bar two or three) of the 360 games are 1080p, i'd just go for a 720p screen.

Does your xbox360 have an HDMI port? I know some of the older cheaper versions didn't have one

Get the 1080p screen, you TV will no doubt last a lot longer than any console you use with it.

No doubt the next playstation and xbox will run games at 1080p as a minimum.

dont think it does actually, you can still get 1080p out of it though i think
