xbox chatpad problem

hi all i have got a chatpad purchased befor chrimbo but from day one i keep having probs with it im typeing away and it will somtime miss key presses but me mates says he has never had that prob and he types fast like me even slow it misses keys.

ive been told there is two versions of these and the new ones are better any word on that.
