What would you recommed please?

You want to look for a "wireless ethernet adaptor". It's just a box with a power adaptor, ethernet port and wireless antenna(s). The whole "game adapter" marketing was just a made up gimmick.

As far as a recommendation goes I can't really help , but I'd say that there's not much difference between them all, regardless of manufacturer.

Thanks lads. I'm now using a D-Link DWL-G810 AirPlusXtremeG 108Mbps Super G Wireless Ethernet Bridge. It works a treat but is a bit expensive at around £50.
