Sorry to hijack but i was wondering. Are there two differnt cables for theese controllers? One just charges and the other allows you to connect to your pc?
Because im thinking about just buying a new wired controller so i have two and this one i can use with my pc as the other is wireless and im not paying 30 quid for a wireless dongle when i could get anotehr controller for less.
Or if i buy this controller am i going to find it wont work with my pc because its just a charging cable?
The charge cable is just a charge cable & will do nothing else, its does not turn your wireless controller in to a wired one.
Yeah i thought as much.
But what i really want to know is does buying the ~20 quid wired controllers count as using a charge cable or one caperble of connecting to my pc?
Im kinda confused.
Just to see i pluged my wireless control into my pc via the charge and play cable and it detected the control and started installing the drivers for 'xbox 360 controller for windows'
I now have the xbox panel thing installed ofr conecting pads but it doesn't detect it...but why would it detect it and install the drivers and program?!?!?
ITS A CONSPIRACY! I bet it does send data down the cable but they have disabled it to make you buy the wireless reciver or a wired controller! (not realy, tink it was just an odd fluke, but still, how odd)
