xbox controller connectivity issues

Hi all,

I have recently purchased an xbox one controller and the wireless PC adapter. I can't get them to sync.

The adapter shows up correctly in the device manager so it seems like its working alright, but when you press the physical sync buttons on the controller and adapter, I get a fast flashing light on both but they never connect to each other.

I cant seem to find anything online that might resolve this, I just see posts about the issue of the wireless adapter not auto installing the drivers.

Anybody else had a similar issue?

Can close this post, I plugged the adapter into my missus laptop and it did manage to sync to the controller, put the adapter back on my desktop and its still paired and working, how odd.
