Xbox E74 error code, fixable under the extended warranty?

I guess it had to happen at some point, I've been lucky up until now and had no problems with my Xbox until last night.

I was playing Army of Two last night when I had a very bad case of artifacts, like when I GFX card is dying on a PC. I went back to the dashboard and all looked fine so I loaded the game back up and straight away it was bad again. I turned the 360 off and on and that's when I was met with the E74 error screen.

I wondering if it's possible to get it repaired under the extended warranty, I think that's only for the 3 RROD though. I have read on other forums while I was searching for some information on the error that they have sent theirs off with an E74 error and still had it fixed ok. Has anyone on here had their 360 fixed for anything other than the 3 RROD under the extended warranty? My 360 is just over 2 years old now.

my xbox had been out of warrenty for a year until the exactly same thing happened to me. i just rang microsoft up and told them. They just said ok and sent the labels to send it off to get fixed for free.

just try it, worth a go
