xbox emulation on 360, any good?

My old Xbox does do 720p output (all non pal units did, or non uk).
I did not think to try it out on the 360 though, so it might look better on that.

Most Xbox games only support 480p though (Outrun 2 included).. Xbox1 didn't really have the horsepower for reliable HD gaming.

This is true although I don't think upscaling it will make it look much different.
It's a very good conversion of the arcade game but it just did not really grab me in the way that PGR3 does.
Oh and the music ....... arrgh my ears.

 criticising my beloved OutRun 2 and its music, you heathen!

But...but...but...... it's rubish lol.
Get a 360 and save your ears and eyes from the hideousness that is Outrun 2.

I'll have another go on it tonight, see if it improves, it was almost as bad as Hello Kitty Roller Rescue that I had to play last night lol. Too much pink it hurts.

By the way are you using a wheel with Outrun2?

Oh and Heroes of the Pacific !!!!!! Too hard to fly.

If you don't like it the first time you play it, I doubt you ever will ;) It probably helps a lot if you liked the original from 1986.

Incidentally reading the review of OutRun 2006 on Eurogamer they say it's graphically as good as RR6 on the 360, and it's probably a good game to compare it to as they have a similar type of gameplay, with the exaggerated physics and drifting :)

Oh, I use the pad btw, I don't have a wheel.

I think they need a trip to spec savers. I've just looked at the screen shots for 2006 and in my opinion those graphics are nowhere near RR6 on the 360. Of course I haven't seen it running but I don't think they'll improve that much.

Yeah I haven't seen RR6 in action so can't comment really, but from having played the previous RR iterations, the driving mechanics are quite similar :)

Ahh well I loved the originals being a bit of an arcade kiddy in the 80's but 20 years on it didn't do much for me. I was expecting nostalgic giddiness but I found it rather bland, plus no gamer points!!!!!
Right now my brother is infront of me in gamer points and that must be resolved.
