Xbox Game Pass - Can't join

I'm trying to join the £3.99 p/m xbox beta game pass thing and cannot even login.
I've obviously downloaded the app and installed but everytime I select the £3.99 tier I just get a black box and it returns to the same screen again.

Tried everything I can but just cannot get it to work...anyone else had similar issues that they have fixed?

Are you trying to do this in the app or from the browser/website?

Sure I had issues with the app so did it via the website and then just logged the app in.

Can sign into the website just fine, its the app just wont wont work as below, tried everything.

If I remember correctly I had to reinstall windows for it to work.

There were some issues with the files/registry/user accounts that kept causing the problem. Not what you wanted to hear but that worked for me, think I may have posted in the xbox game pass thread

MS game pass app is quite reliant on having the latest windows updates to work I believe...i'd eliminate this as a cause first of all.

yeah I couldn't update mine due to the above issues. Clean install worked a treat though. Just more effort than it was worth

Pay for it on web browser then login to app with membership already active. I signed up and paid before I even found the app

When i first installed this app it force a rather large Windows update before it would work.

Cheers guys, to be clear I'm on the latest updates in Windows and there is no way I'm reinstalling Windows so I guess I'll be giving this one a miss.

Cant believe MS have released something this broken but ah well.

P.s. tried turning off your windows customisation bars and things?

I don't even use the app.You can download everything from the windows store.

I used the app which broke and wouldn't let me down or install did all the fixes and support where useless.

I tried to then download from Windows store that didn't even work, I had to resort to a full install of Windows

It's all a buggy mess really, just keep trying and it will randomly work or you'll have to do the fixes they list if that still does not work reinstall for you

Log in to Windows with user instead of Microsoft account.

Do you have same issue in Microsoft store? That you can't install anything?

Well wouldn't you know it, this worked..........to point.
Managed to actually subscribe outside of the Beta App then upon trying to install a game from the store....

Have cancelled and given up....cheers for the help guys all the same.
