You really should complain about it. Write them a letter asking to transfer all of your details from your previous tag to a new one.
I must say this is appalling and does not do Microsoft any favours. PS3 starts to look more and more attractive as I read stories like this one...
i had to take a scratch card back to the store for MS points once, they exchanged it no probs, just told them it had been scratched off already and wouldn't except the code
I bought mine from an online retailer in Canada. I don't think I can write them and say that it doesn't work since on their website they often state that they cannot provide tech support.
Could write major nelson, but having done that before, there was no answer. I like what he does for the community and his show, but if there's a big problem it's usually not spoken about by Microsoft employees.
