Xbox HD-DVD drive

Any further news, like are HD-DVD's region locked ?

Its confirmed that it works on PC's ( with suitable Powerdvd sw )

Pricewise, around £130 on the street, when we finally get it here.

Where are people getting theirs from , considering the chance of a region lock.

HD-DVDs are region free

BR are indeed region locked.

I believe BR games are region-free, but BR movies are DEFINATELY region locked.

I've also got one on order along with a few HD-DVD's to try out, i should hopefully get it at the same time as a new 1080p tv.

On the downside i'm not touching any of my 360's new games (Gear of War, Call of Duty 3, Splinter Cell and FEAR) until i've got the tv.

got mine pre-ordered from game. i'm quite lookin forward to it

though i got an email from them saying the release date had changed to the 24th Nov after it had changed to the 1st Dec???

I got the same email. Thought it was a little wierd too.

Release is still 1st Decemeber though.

I will be getting one of these. Although I dont think there is too many films in hd made yet.

All films are made in HD. They have to be compressed to be put onto DVD.
